Magical Herb-Turmeric

A month ago, my mother slipped on the floor and got knee injury. We gave her first aid immediately but after few days, she still has pain. And when mom is on bed, everything goes wrong at home. =p
After few days, I was sitting with my friends in the university and one of my friend mentioned that her grandma recommends turmeric as a painkiller. Oh yes! Turmeric. It clicked on my mind. I came home; boiled milk with half teaspoon turmeric and cardamom for my mom to drink. Now she is perfectly fine.

Will all the work that we do with our hands, they often come in contact with germs, dirt, chemicals such as in detergents, etc., which may not suit our sensitive skin and result in dryness and ugliness. Therefore, it is necessary to treat our hands with special care.
I always prefer natural ingredients for beauty and health care, because I believe that there is no match of natural ingredients on this planet, in both economical and output perspectives.
I have some hand care tips and masks for you, which you can make it at home.

10 Homemade remedies for beautiful hands fairness:

Sugar and olive oil Scrub: 

Sugar is the best ingredient to remove dead skin in minutes and bring your hands back to life.
Mix 3 tablespoon sugar with two tablespoon of oil (olive oil, vegetable oil or baby oil). Olive oil is very rich in vitamins. This scrub removes leftover skin from your hands and maintains the softness. 

Banana mask: 

Banana contains vitamins that help to maintain natural glow of the skin. You only need to mix it with honey, lemon and butter in equal quantities. Mix these ingredients well to form a paste. Apply this mask on your hands and leave for 15 minutes. Then rinse the mask and you will get glowing skin. 

Lemon-Sugar Softener: 

Lemon is the most common remedy for skin lightening. Lemon is a healthy food ingredient as well as a good skin remedy. For dry hands mix 1 tablespoon lemon juice with one teaspoon sugar. Apply it to your hands, leave it for 5 minutes. Wash off with warm water. 

Tomato pulp: 

Tomato is a beneficial beauty item to keep the skin healthy. Tomatoes are used as a cure for sunburn and for reducing rashes and large pores.
Take tomato pulp, lemon juice and glycerine to form a paste. Apply a layer of masks on your hands. Leave for 30 minutes and wash off.

Honey-egg white mask: 

Mix 1 tablespoon of honey, egg white and 1 teaspoon glycerine. Apply to your hand gently and leave for few minutes. Rinse the mask and see the results, it will clear and soften your hands. 

Moisturizing mask: 

2 tbsp. sugar, 1 tbsp. honey, 1 tbsp. olive oil, 1 tbsp. cream.
Mix all the ingredients well and apply a layer of mask on your hands. Massage with your fingertips for 3-4 minutes and leave. After 15 minutes, wash off the mask with warm water.
You can replace olive oil with vegetable oil or baby oil. Ask your friend or partner for help in massaging your hands.

Rose extract: 

Add 1 part of glycerine on 2 parts of rose water. Mix together and massage your hands as often as possible. You can make it once and save it in a refrigerator. 


Cucumber can do much for your skin. It tightens open pores, improves complexion, fades scars and much more. Anyways for your hand’s treatment, you have to mix cucumber juice in glycerine and massage on your hands.


Oranges contain vitamin C and it improves color and texture of your skin. Mix orange juice with honey to use it for fairness of hands. 

Softening hand mask: 

Milk, lemon and honey is a great combination for your skin.
Mix these items, and stir to form a thick paste. Apply to your hands. Massage for 3 minutes. Then leave for 10 minutes and rinse it off.

Use Lotion:

Regular Massage:

Make regular massage of your hands a habit to stimulate blood circulation in your hands. No need to use special creams, your routine cream/lotion is enough but if you want to do something more, then I have some homemade hand care massage masks.
Rub the back of one hand with the palm of other, this hand movement will keep your hand warm and help in blood circulation.


Wear gloves when you are doing kitchen work, specially while cutting vegetables and washing dishes.  It also saves you from oil drops that may not cause something severe but can leave small dots on your hands. Or oil your hands before cutting the vegetables, it will protect your hands from knife signs on your hand.  Moreover, in winter cold air is skin damaging for hands, it takes away the moisture from your hands.

Clean your Hands:

Clean your hand 4 5 times a day but do not wash your hand too much because more of everything is harmful and it will make the skin rough around the nails.

  1. Make a fist and open/close your hands 20 to 25 times.
  1. Rub your hands in both vertical and horizontal directions.
